Somatic Affective Talk and Touch is a healing modality that uses gentle touch and simple dialogue to raise awareness and offer choice. It IS possible for your mind and body to move together with greater ease and comfort.
Our minds are powerful and often override or rationalize why our physical body aches or why we feel the way we do… slowing down and paying attention to yourself, with a SATT practitioner to guide the journey, can be freeing and enlightening.
Gilly Thomas developed SATT to address the gap that exists when there is talk and no touch (mind = talk therapy) and when there is touch and no talk (body = physical therapies). This holistic approach is based on western medical science and eastern belief, through integration of alternative therapies. She developed a two year program training program so that others can also practice SATT.
